Terms of service

1. What sg-pits is
sg-pits is a self-service document and reminder tool operated by Maple Education Pte Ltd (UEN: 202349302E) for Singapore tenancy and work-pass admin. It gives you:
- Evidence vault (upload + SHA-256 integrity).
- Lease / employment contract field extraction.
- Reminder events (ICS feed + email).
- Demand letter and dispute pack generation.
sg-pits is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The text, forms, and PDFs are templates and informational summaries. For advice on your specific situation, consult a Singapore-qualified lawyer.
2. Not a tribunal representative
The Small Claims Tribunals Act (§23) requires parties to appear in person or by approved video. sg-pits cannot appear or speak on your behalf in the Small Claims Tribunals, the State Courts, or any regulatory body. We only help you prepare evidence and draft documents that you yourself file and defend.
3. Your content, your responsibility
You own the documents and data you upload. You warrant that you have the right to upload them and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of the facts you enter into generated documents — the facts-certified checkbox on a demand letter is a statement by you that you have reviewed and approved the content.
4. Acceptable use
- You may use sg-pits for your own tenancy, employment, and immigration admin in Singapore.
- You may not upload content you do not have the right to share, run automated bulk traffic against the service, or use it to impersonate another person.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or expose the service to abuse.
5. Email and reminders
Signing up opts you in to service reminders (rent due, stamp deadline, work-pass expiry) because those are the product's core function. Marketing emails are off by default and only sent if you opt in. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe link (RFC 8058).
6. Availability
sg-pits is provided on an "as available" basis. We do our best to keep reminders on time, but we do not guarantee delivery and we are not liable for missed deadlines caused by upstream outages, email rejection, or device-level issues. If a deadline matters, check it yourself and, where possible, set a parallel reminder in your own calendar.
7. Fees
The core tool (vault, reminders, extractions, dispute pack) is free. Paid add-ons (if introduced) are clearly labelled and priced inside the product. We do not auto-charge without explicit consent.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Account → Delete account. On deletion, your data is soft-deleted for 30 days then hard-deleted by an automated sweep. Closing your account does not remove the SHA-256 hashes retained in our audit log (see Privacy policy §1).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or S$100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Singapore law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
